Paint Mahone Bay

Early morning July 11. The bandstand as seen from Edgewater Street.. Rod would probably have painted here but was still recovering from the 'flu

The sixth annual Paint Mahone Bay was held July 11 and 12, 2009. at the Mahone Bay Centre. It consisted of a"dry" exhibition of paintings offered for sale nd a "wet" sale of paintings created on site. A portion of sales went to benefit the Settler's Hertage Museum.

This year a half dozen workshops for painters took place during the two days and a wine-and-cheese "meet and greet" was held in the gymnasium which was the site of all activities.  Unfortunately there was not a lot of chit-chat between artists as a fair bit of time was spent in political speech-making wich demands a listening attitude. This speech-making seems to have been occasioned by the fact that money was given  the organization by Canadian Heritage and Nova Scotia Touirism.
