The sixth annual Paint Mahone Bay
was held July 11 and 12, 2009. at the Mahone Bay Centre. It consisted
of a"dry" exhibition of paintings offered for sale nd a "wet" sale of
paintings created on site. A portion of sales went to benefit the
Settler's Hertage Museum. This year a half dozen workshops for painters took place during the two days and a wine-and-cheese "meet and greet" was held in the gymnasium which was the site of all activities. Unfortunately there was not a lot of chit-chat between artists as a fair bit of time was spent in political speech-making wich demands a listening attitude. This speech-making seems to have been occasioned by the fact that money was given the organization by Canadian Heritage and Nova Scotia Touirism. |
