In 2008, Shane MacGowan recommended this unique-looking place in his Lonely Planet guide. On line he wrote:
The large family room we had was very clean and in excellent condition. There was a whirlpool tub which my kids loved, and all the amenities you expect in a five star hotel. Breakfast was healthy and rich at the same time, and Donna is a great cook. Rick has travelled the Canadian Maritimes extensively, and was willing and able to help me plan my trip, saving me hours of driving. We loved this place, and would definitely return to visit the South Shore of Nova Scotia with a base at the Amber Rose Inn. |
