Here
we see a very weird combination of gable and shed dormers. These were
built to meet the housing needs of a clergyman's family, thus the
tendency toward cost-cutting!

Finally,
we arrive at a much more sophisticated Scottish Dormer. This
type is referred to more technically as a Faceted Dormer Window. Here
windows appear on several planes, rather than a single-plane, after the
fashion of Bay Windows. This is a late Victorian model of its
kind since it carries elaborate decorative trim.

| There
is a pretty good chance that these dormers were erected at different
points in time. They are attached to a commercial building in downtown
Lunenburg. From the summary treatment of the dormer on the right it
would be a good guess that this newer!
