Brownless has been painting in water-colour for more than sixty years.
She studied privately with Gladys Best in Devon England before training at the Walsall College of Arts and Design.
She was associated with many art organizations in England. Since her
move to Canada in 1970 she has been a member of similar socities in
Annapolis Royal, Chester and Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. She has had
solo exhibitions at the Mahone Bay Mini Gallery (2009), The Lunenburg
Art Gallery (2005, The Moorings Gallery, Mahone Bay; Black Duck
Gallery, Lunenburg, Open House Gallery, Annaplois Royal; "A' Gallery,
Truro; Dalhousie Faculty Club, Halifax; Chester Hertiarge Society
Gallery and the Herring Gull Gallery, Chester.
